Toby
Toby is doing very well! After a brief adjustment period when we were learning about Toby (and dachshunds in general) and he was getting used to us, he has fit in very nicely. At first he was very quiet and did not like other people or animals, he has adjusted quite well and now enjoys visitors. We recently visited some friends who have all kinds of animals and 8 dogs and we were worried about how he would react, but after a tense beginning he loosened up and actually made friends with several of the dogs. He is very protective of Nancy and loves to spend his time snoozing on the couch next to her. He is very well house trained and will let us know he has to go out by suddenly getting all happy and snatching one of his toys and running around with it. He is cleared of his previous heartworm problem and had his teeth cleaned at the beginning of September. The nurses at the Banfield clinic love him as he can be very cuddly and loves getting attention.
All in all he is in very good health and very happy! Hope all is well with you and thank you for allowing us to adopt this wonderful little guy.
